At the time of writing this, I’m eating gluten free. I’ve found it pretty easy, because we generally eat whole foods. There are a few exceptions though, so I’ve been on a journey of discovery to find things that taste good – even though they’re gluten free.
Are you drooling with me – they’re so amazing for our minds, body and soul! After ongoing health issues, I found essential oils and learnt that they could do almost anything – cleaning, skin care, make me feel good – and I was in! I truly haven’t looked back and nor has mine and my family’s health. Of course I can’t help but share them too xo
I feel like I came out of the food and nutrition fog as soon as I started studying with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I had finally found my home. I love that with IIN it can be about learning all about nutrition for you and your family or you can launch a business or you can do both – you get to decide. Take an IIN Sample Class and find out what it’s all about xo
I love icy cold water, and I love that S’well keeps my water cold for 24 hours or if you like hot water, then it keeps it hot for 12 hours. Sarah Kauss set out on a mission to rid the world of single-use plastic bottles, and I agree with her, sure we can recycle them but why use all that energy for 1 time use? Plastic is also a hormone disruptor, so lets look after our bodies and our earth that little bit more. I asked for my first S’well water bottle for my 2018 birthday, it became my desk water bottle and then I quickly brought a bigger one for every day, and I got bottles for Chris and Teddy. Yes we love them. We take the bottles everywhere xo
Exploring new containers is like dating. I know what works for me so I’m keen to make sure my replacements also fit all the food I want to eat. I love these Good to Go bamboo and glass containers, I also use metal containers, Kilner jars for my granola and nuts, and I have my own glass milk bottles #socool! I purchase them from Biome because its 100% palm free and cruelty free. They also make sure everything they sell is good for our bodies and good for the planet.
Meet my awesome everECO keep cup for my coconut milk turmeric chai latte – its delicious, so is the latte!! I love taking it to my favourite cafe, whenever I’m getting takeaway, and taking it back to the office to sip on. It keeps my latte hot for up to 4 hours – like I need that long, and if I choose to use it for cold drinks, then they stay cold for up to 8 hours. everECO is on a mission to make the world a better place, creating sustainable products and inspiring people to live a healthier life. No wonder I love them. They also live by the ‘choose well and make it last’ philosophy, something that’s always underpinned my shopping habits.
I love my everECO reusable produce bags that are made from recycled plastic. I take them to the farmers market with me every week and instead of using plastic bags, I use these. I buy loose lettuce, snow peas which fit perfectly in the bags. For everything else – apples, oranges, squash, cucumber – I’m bag free #nudieveggies and then everything goes into a reuse hessian bag #doublewin
Creating, sourcing and supplying in person to Canberra and online to Australia, this small company is changing lives one at a time. I first met Plastic Free in 2018, at the Old Bus Depot Markets, Kingston. We brought our first bamboo toothbrushes and we haven’t looked back. They’re biodegradable, BPA free and even contain charcoal in their bristles. We also use her beeswax wraps, metal straws and the Cedar & Sage Organics Deodorant Paste in Geranium and Sage.
