Hi, it’s lovely to meet you

My name is Susan, and I’m on a journey, a journey I call my soul life.

The fun part is it’s messy and wonderful. It’s a journey full of uncertainty, creativity, discovery and a lot of love.

It’s a journey I’ve always been on but I couldn’t see it until after I gave birth to my beautiful son Teddy in 2013.

Things got really dark for me. I didn’t know who I was or what I liked. I knew I’d created my reality, but I didn’t want any part of it.

I intuitively knew there had to be more, that I could be more and I wasn’t stuck.

I started tuning inwards, being kind to myself, eating better, moving my body and slowly, over time, I found myself again.

In September 2020, standing in my home I realised that I’d gone from hating my life to loving my life and the only thing that had changed was me.

Over those years I’d deepened my connection to my intuition, followed my heart, studied, changed careers, detoxified our lives and we were moving to our dream location.

What you’ll find here is inspiration. Stories about our life, my healing journey and what I love. In essence you’re going to get a glimpse into me living my soul life and in doing so, I hope you’re inspired to deepen your connection to yourself, to find what you truly love – becoming authentically you and living your soul life too.

I LOVE doing lots of things at once, doing them fast and doing the things that bring me energy like coaching, inspiring others, learning, moving my body, eating food that feel good to me and slowing down my life.

Meet Teddy

Photo shoot fun.

On the day of my photoshoot, Teddy decided he could come into our kitchen to help ice his favourite cupcakes. He didn’t like my make up and couldn’t look at me, he told me to take it off (so cute!). We captured some beautiful memories that day.

A bit about Teddy.

Teddy was born in November 2013. He’s a Sagittarius and a Manifesting Generator with a 6/2 Profile. He’s a kind and gentle soul, very connected to the spiritual world (not that he’s conscious of it yet). He needs down time to recharge and is a friend to everyone. All that said, he’s a little boy who loves doing front flips, shooting hoops and eating cupcakes!

Chris and I had a name picked out for Teddy from our first pregnancy, which ended in a miscarriage a year earlier, but it just didn’t seem right. During our pregnancy, we were watching The West Wing, and we went through the names of the characters on the show, none of them took our fancy. We then went through the American Presidents and landed on Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt, the 25th President of the United States of America, and Teddy was so named.

How the Teddy Bear got it’s name:

In 1902, Theodore Roosevelt was on a hunting expedition. An American Black Bear was caught but President Roosevelt refused to shoot the bear. This became news, and Morris Michtom, who created the first Teddy Bear, wrote to President Roosevelt seeking his permission to name the bear ‘Teddy’ after him. President Roosevelt agreed.

Whilst it’s reported that President Roosevelt didn’t personally like being called ‘Teddy’, it’s noted in history that he was often called Teddy.

My spiritual journey.

Teddy was my awakening. My post natal depression was part of my journey and whilst I didn’t know it at the time, The Man in the Arena speech given by Theodore Roosevelt on 23 April 1910, is a reminder to me that Teddy came into my life for a reason and for that I’ll be forever grateful.

 

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

 

Alignment comes in so many different ways, and I realised recently that The Man in the Arena speech was given on the date that contains my Angel Numbers. Everything’s happening just as it’s meant to, and everything’s connected.

Meet Chris

Chris Deal and Teddy DealMy handsome prince.

Chris is my home, my world, my greatest support, my cheerleader and the love of my life. I know we’ve been together in many lifetimes before and will be again.

Chris is the tech and operations side of my business. He’s also my sounding board when I want to work through ideas, and I’m grateful for the space he holds for me to do this.

A bit about us.

There are times when he says to me ‘you’re a nut bag but I love you’ and there are times when he just holds me and tells me to keep going.

In the show, How I met your Mother, Lily and Marshall share the theory that in every relationship there’s a ‘reacher’ and a ‘settler’ – I consider myself to be the ‘reacher’, funnily enough so does Chris.

Chris is my amazing husband and I’m so fortunate that I get to do life with him. He also an amazing Dad to Teddy and my bonus sons.

A bit about Chris.

Chris is a Pisces and Generator with a 2/4 Profile. He also has Projected channels meaning he can see what others need.

In 2009, I was in Udaipur, India, and I had a numerology reading. During my reading, I was told that Chris was a god and I was to hang onto him. He’s the easiest person to hang onto because he makes my life so bright, expansive, loving and fun. I love my wonderful husband forever.
