Hi, it’s lovely to meet you,

My name’s Susan or Suze, you decide what you want to call me 😉

I, like you, am on a journey – this journey I like to call our soul life. And whilst I’ve always been into health and fitness, playing a lot of netball at very high levels, I felt like I was on a rollercoaster.

Sometimes I was super good and dedicated with my health and fitness, and sometimes I was face first into a tub of ice cream or that family block of almond chocolate was gone before I even opened the packet (it’s totally a thing! ha ha).

I’d met and fallen in love with my handsome prince. My wonderful husband Chris. We married and were living a great life travelling the world. Heading off to Hong Kong to have dinner for my birthday, Bali for 10 nights of relax in the middle of winter, Vietnam for a friend’s wedding and going to Thailand because there was a great deal on.

But I had this niggle.

This little voice kept encouraging me to have a baby.

So one day, I said to Chris, I’d like to try for a baby, and he said yes.

We’d had lots of discussions before this, and the decision was mine because Chris already had 3 kids. Plus, we’d have to go down the IVF path.

In 2013, I gave birth to our beautiful son Teddy.

He’s the most precious gift we could have ever received, and life was never the same again.

However, in 2014 I fell into a big hole of post natal depression.

I lost myself. I didn’t know who I was, what I actually liked doing and where I wanted my life to go. I wondered, is this it?

I intuitively knew there had to be more.

So I went to work redefining me. I created space for myself. I started being kind to myself, eating well and moving my body. And slowly, through adding one thing at a time, I got my life back on track.

In September 2020, I stood in my home (that we’d just sold) and realised that I’d gone from truly hating my life, to a life I loved. I was in the same home, with the same husband and same child – the only thing that had changed was me.

But what changed?

Over those years I’d deepened my connection to my intuition, followed my heart and became a Health and Life Coach. I love everything about Human Design, detoxing our lives, and above all, being the best human being I can be, for me.

What I learnt along the way was that putting myself first and taking time for me, wasn’t selfish. It created more for me and the people I love – more time, more space, more abundance – and that right there is the messy middle of life. We can know exactly who we are, what we love, we can say no, we can say yes and still be a wonderful, loving person.

What life looks like now.

Everyday, I work on being a better person, a better me, for me. I do this in amongst life and through feeling into what feels good to me. I do this quietly, because I’ve found it creates greater alignment for me, and I have fun along the way!

We left Canberra in 2020, moving to Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. I left corporate life and now work on my business in a way that feels aligned to me. We live on half an acre, have 6 chickens, 4 birds, our dog Indie and I play netball. I’m continuing to study and learn more about myself. I read a lot of personal development books and listen to similar podcasts.

Life is quiet, beautiful and I’m so grateful for everything we’ve created in our lives.

My current health journey:

In 2020, I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis and then in 2021 (or maybe 2022) I was diagnosed with Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacterium, this lovely bacteria that can live in our lungs.

When I went to see a specialist about it I was told ‘we’ll monitor you,’ which wasn’t enough for me. Also, everything I read said ‘it’s a life long condition,’ so, I’ve been on a journey to heal myself and I can honestly tell you – I’m nearly there. I’m so close I can almost touch it. My healing is coming and I’m excited to share everything that’s worked for me on my journey, and what I’ve learnt, in Project 24. Have fun reading, plus I’m sharing on Instagram – because we can all heal.

Meet Teddy

Photo shoot fun.

Teddy didn’t want to be involved in this photo shoot, which was totally ok, but his favourite cup cakes drew him into the kitchen and he had some fun. We captured some beautiful memories that day.

A bit about Teddy.

Teddy (Theodore David Allan Deal) was born in November 2013. He’s a Sagittarius and a Manifesting Generator with a 6/2 Profile. He’s a kind and gentle soul, very connected to the spiritual world (not that he’s conscious of it yet). He needs down time to recharge and is a friend to everyone. All that said, he’s a little boy who loves doing front flips, shooting hoops and eating cupcakes!

Chris and I had a name picked out for him from our first pregnancy, which ended in a miscarriage a year earlier, but it just didn’t seem right. During our pregnancy with Teddy, we were watching The West Wing, and we went through the names of the characters on the show, none of them took our fancy. We then went through the American Presidents and landed on Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt, the 25th President of the United States of America.

In 1902, Theodore Roosevelt was on a hunting expedition. An American Black Bear was caught but President Roosevelt refused to shoot the bear. This became news, and Morris Michtom, who created the first Teddy Bear, wrote to President Roosevelt seeking his permission to name the bear ‘Teddy’ after him. President Roosevelt agreed.

Whilst President Roosevelt didn’t personally like being called ‘Teddy’, it’s noted in history that he was often called Teddy.

My spiritual journey.

Teddy was my awakening, my post natal depression was part of my journey and whilst I didn’t know it at the time, The Man in the Arena speech given by Theodore Roosevelt on 23 April 1910, is a reminder to me that Teddy came into my life for a reason and for that I’ll be forever grateful.

 

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

 

Alignment comes in so many different ways, and I realised recently that The Man in the Arena speech was given on the date that contains my Angel Numbers. Everything’s happening just as it’s meant to, and everything’s connected.

Meet Chris

Chris Deal and Teddy DealMy handsome prince.

Chris is my home, my world, my greatest support, my cheerleader and the love of my life. I know we’ve been together in many lifetimes before and will be again.

Meet my Tech Genius.

Chris is the tech and operations side of my business. He’s also my sounding board when I want to work through ideas, and I’m grateful for the space he holds for me to do this.

A bit about us.

There are times when he says to me ‘you’re a nut bag but I love you’ and there are times when he just holds me and tells me to keep going.

In the show, How I met your Mother, Lily and Marshall share the theory that in every relationship there’s a ‘reacher’ and a ‘settler’ – I consider myself to be the ‘reacher’, funnily enough so does Chris.

Chris is an amazing Dad to Teddy and my bonus sons. He’s my amazing husband and I’m so fortunate that I get to do life with him.

A bit about Chris.

Chris is a Pisces and Generator with a 2/4 Profile. I believe he’s also part Projector on his unconscious side because he can see what others need.

In India in 2009, I had my numerology done and I was told that Chris was a god and I was to hang onto him. He’s the easiest person to hang onto because he makes my life so bright, expansive, loving and fun.
