Ep. 218 – Happiness is an Inside Job with Simon Eager

Meet Simon Eager, a great bloke with a great journey.

Originally from the UK, Simon spent his career as a Police Officer until a trip to Australia set him on a new path.

After a life changing six-month stopover in South Africa working in wildlife conservation together with his wife Melanie, they set down roots in Australia.

But law enforcement no longer fit the bill for Simon and so he began work in Animal Rescue until happiness called again and he found his calling as a Motivation and Mindset Coach with a focus on Men’s Mental Health.

Simon’s a 56-year-old bloke from England who now lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia having originally moved from the UK to Western Australia in 2003.

Simon spent 30 years in law enforcement. Firstly, service as a Police Officer in a UK Police force for 15 years. Then moving to Australia via 6 months in South Africa as a wildlife volunteer. Once in Australia Simon started as a private investigator, then a further 15 years in uniform with the RSPCA Inspectorate in Western Australia and Queensland. Concluding with 6 years in local government regulatory services.

Simon views himself as an animal lover, an adventurer, and a gentleman.

Following naturally on from his regulatory career he’s now following his own calling as a ‘motivational and mindset – coach and speaker’, where he’s determined to give back to the world by using his experiences, some good, some not so good, for the benefit of others.

He’s passionate about justice and a ‘fair go for all’, including the animals – those that can’t speak for themselves.

Simon’s whole coaching ethos is helping people to achieve their full potential and realising that the past is not a prison sentence – the best is yet to come.
