Advocating your needs with Kristen Jawad

Ep. 110 – Advocating Your Needs with Kristen Jawad

Kristen is a Healthcare Representative, Wellness Educator and Birth and Post-Partum Doula and encourages you to be advocating for your needs.

Kristen’s courageous journey through a difficult post-partum period has led her to supporting mums and families with post-partum and mood disorders.

Kirsten is an advocate for two aspects of support in parenting – educational and emotional and is passionate about learning how to identify and communicate feelings and needs. Be inspired.

Kristen Jawad, Kristen’s a Healthcare Chaplain, Wellness Educator & Doula. She discovered her compassionate touch at the age 5 after receiving a calming hand massage. Later, she trained at the Oregon School of Massage and became a licensed healthcare provider.

After becoming a mother, her early career focused on early childhood development, directing Montessori schools & creating community programs to support conscious parenting. She earned a master’s degree in education while raising her own children.

Compassion and Love are her prime motivators for choosing to serve women & children across her career.

Kristen’s called to offer deep listening and directly support individuals, families & community leaders. The pandemic has disproportionately impacted mothers & caregivers, and she’s responded by offering additional in home massage & elderly care services at home to those who were cut off from their support networks.

As a parent, community educator, healthcare provider & student, she takes a deep bow to the long line of healer-teachers that have come before her. The work of Rumi, Marshall Rosenberg, Parker Palmer & Raine Eisler buoys her hope in the possibility for systemic change.

Almost 25 years later, Kristen’s still fascinated with the question – How can spirituality, which she describes as – a search for meaning and purpose as defined by each patient—be integrated into patient care?

The spiral of life allows her to support families welcoming new life as a postpartum doula & in eldercare settings providing pastoral care as a chaplain. Spiritual direction allows her to accompany folks through all life seasons, which includes:

  • Finding Direction & Purpose During Times of Transition
  • Tending to Your Grief & Deepening Connection
  • Conscious Aging and Wellness Programs for Women 50+
  • Mother Care & Postpartum Healing Packages
  • Get What’s Broken Blessed

Kristen’s approach is rooted in universal wisdom traditions & mindful compassion practices to reduce suffering.
