Alcohol Freedom Movement with Sarah Rusbatch

Ep. 77 – Alcohol Freedom Movement with Sarah Rusbatch

Sarah Rusbatch’s a qualified health and wellness coach, an accredited ‘grey area drinking’ coach, host of ‘perth sober socials’ a meet up group in WA for women to meet and socialise without booze and a passionate ambassador for Australia’s growing alcohol free movement.

Sarah’s own journey to giving up alcohol began in April 2017 when she identified her relationship with alcohol had become problematic in terms of her mental health, wellbeing and general physical health. She began a quest to learn more about alcohol, it’s impact on her brain and body, it’s impact on her hormones as she entered the peri-menopause years and why she was becoming increasingly anxious and depressed every time she drank.

Since then, Sarah left her career as an executive recruiter and career coach to focus completely on women’s health, their relationship with alcohol, specifically those stuck in the grey area (where sarah was for many years) and supporting them to build new coping strategies outside of alcohol for when they feel stressed, tired, lonely and anxious.

In this episode, we talk about the things that come up for you when you stop drinking, how Sarah’s helping women through that and what happens afterwards – because for so many of us we can’t see the bigger picture, and when alcohol has been such a big part of our lives, it’s ok to have no idea but this is where the fun really kicks in. Be inspired.
