Grow

Grow so your children can grow differently.

When Teddy was young, and he was learning to use an iPad, one of his brothers said to me ‘geez he’s better at using that thing than me’ and perhaps he is, even though he hasn’t been using if for a long time – and perhaps his brother wasn’t using apple, so if he did maybe he’d be pretty good at it anyway.

My response to him was ‘of course, Teddy’s upgraded software’.

Alignment

Alignment

Living in alignment isn’t hard but it isn’t easy either.

Much like eating for our body with foods that make us feel well verses foods that don’t make us feel well.

Living in alignment requires us to say no to things and we’re not always good at saying no. It can also requires us to sit with decisions, not make them on the spot because we need more time verses making the person happy in the moment.

sleep and crying showers

Sleep

I hate being woken up.

I love to wake up of my own accord, feeling refreshed or not, but just waking up when my body tells me it’s time to wake up.

Rocky Road

I’ve been thinking about sometimes foods. As I move into kicking my ice cream addiction – that came into full swing after I let go of chocolate for 12 months (I’m 6 months in), I wondered what I wanted my ice cream journey to look like.

Light up your Soul with Susan Scollen

Light up your Soul

Our mind, body and soul can only give so much before we’re empty and depleted – passed out on the bed crying from exhaustion.

We tell ourselves that we have to keep showing up because if we don’t – no one else will and we can be judgy, cranky, rude, resentful, mean…to ourselves, to the people in our home and we look for the people outside of our immediate family to make us feel better.

6 basic human needs by Susan Scollen

6 Basic Human Needs

Every human has needs, but there are six that are the foundational to why you do what you do at your core.

Every move and every decision you make can be driven by these needs and it’s fun to watch how you’ve anchored your choices against them in the past and how you continue to do so.

Why don't you love me?

Why don’t you love me?

Why don’t you love me?

Why do you put clothes on me that don’t fit properly or have holes in them or that you should have thrown out 4 years ago?

Why do you put food in me that makes me work harder to remove them, rather than eating foods that make things easier so I can support all the parts of you?
